As part of our commitment to quality of our services we recommend you to take time to go through our Submission Guidelines so that your submissions can be approved without any problem for listing.

Our directory does not include websites that are of illegal nature and websites with objectionable content. Do not submit websites that deal with child pornography, illegal activities, Scams, websites that promote racial intolerance, vulgarity, fraud, violence, gambling, hacking, illicit drugs, adult content and the like.

Our directory currently includes only websites that are in English. So please submit only websites that are in English.

Do not submit cloaked URLs and websites with tracking URLs.

Websites that are still under construction will also not be approved and such websites have to be resubmitted once the websites are fully complete for approval.

Choose the right category for submissions to improve your visibility level. Take time to review all the categories so that you can identify the most appropriate category for your website.

Mirror sites will not be approved though the URLs are different.

Websites that add not value to the web shall not be approved for example websites that are specifically created for Google Adsense or other similar programs.

Create apt titles for your submissions. This will increase your visitor traffic. So do spend some time to create your titles for the submission.

Your website’s description should also be created with care. Avoid bad grammar and typographical errors. Avoid listing just the keywords as your description. This will not help the users understand what your website is offering. This in turn will affect the traffic level to your website. Listings with poor titles, bad grammar, list of keywords etc., will face delays in approval as this may require revisions from your end before the links are approved.

Submissions with excessive promotional titles and descriptions shall not be approved. Do not use promotional terms such as cheap, best, superior, free etc. in the descriptions. Usage of such terms will delay the approval process and may also result in the rejection of the submissions made.

Do not include information such as special offers, pricing, contact information, etc., in the titles or descriptions. This will result in rejection of the submissions.

Do not make multiple submissions in irrelevant categories and this will result in rejection of your entire domain from our directory.

Titles and descriptions shall not be in All Caps. However capitalization those are appropriate to the listing will be allowed on case by case basis.

All the titles and descriptions shall only be in English.

Directoryoftheweb.com reserves all right for approval or rejection of the submissions made. Directoryoftheweb.com also reserves the right to remove any listing from any category at anytime without any prior notice to the owner of the website.
